PD 6 Colin Kennedy
Shakespheares play midsummers night dream was one of his funniest because of act one scene two, three and four. These are funny in my opinion because of the rude mechanicals and their many antics. Act one scene two is when they hold the first meeting or practice for the play. Bottom the weaver take charge and uses poor word choices and doesn't make sence with his words. During the following pages, the group tries to understand the play and practice the show. One page 3, flute protests, but still ends up playing the women in the show. iPod think that the funniest page is four, in which the group decides to give s warning to women that the tiger is not a real tiger. When they finally present the play, everybody thinks they are doing horribly on purpose for satirical reasons. In my opinion A Midsummer's Night Dream is one of Shakespeare's funniest plays and the Rude Mechanicals contribute a lot to that.
