I Remember Poem
I remember when I made dinner with my parents
The way the grilled chicken smelled great
And how the cooked peppers and onions smelled sweet
I remember the sound of the lettuce wrap crunching in between my teeth
like packing down a snow ball
the pan's touch had hot and sizzling
water becoming vapor.
I remember the toppings all layed out ready to be grabbed
how the food was so colorful.
Each time I recall this memory, my mouth starts to water,
mind glancing I look deeply onto this memory
making me love cooking food
