A Found Poem
Merry Christmas
both with a hug
opening our gifts
Santa brought
anything
all full of dust
the red stocking
hung on the fireplace
slipped his stocking off
down into it.
This scene was chosen from the book because it shows how Lucia and Frankie experience their first Christmas. This shows empathy and tolerance because Mr and Mrs. Baxter are giving Frankie and Lucia the experience of Christmas. This is showing how they felt and what the scene looked like. It also shows some touch because it says “slipped his stocking off.” These are the reason of why I did this and how it shows empathy and tolerance.
