I Remember
I remember the first time I saw the sparkling lights of Disney World
The way the air smelled like oranges
And how everyone of my taste buds watered as I thought of other foods and fruits
I remember mint chocolate chip ice cream melting in my mouth
like tiny snowflakes landing on my tongue
Confetti touched my shoulders gently raining down from the sky
I remember a large assortment of neon lights covering floats as they paraded down the street
How the people waved at me
Each time I recall this memory I feel so calm and thankful
eating icecream might be great but spending time with family is priceless!
