I Remember Poem
I remember falling through a trampoline
the way the hot dogs smelled in the background
And how the gasps splinted the air
I remember the grilled cheese at the schappell's
Like Grandmas toast on Sunday
The spring's touch ripping my skin apart
It was a knife like sensation
I remember the blood drenched white t-shirt
How the stitches pierced my leg
Each time I recall this memory, I feel shocked that it happened
Head spinning, I still don't understand it
Through my life, I still remember this clearly
