I Remember

I remember the time I first started swimming.
The way the water vapor smelled like chlorine,
And how it made me sneeze.

I remember the taste of chlorine 
as clearly as you could taste the sugar in a piece of candy.

The water's touch engulfing me in a hug
was the equivalent to a mother's care.

I remember how the world looked like with goggles on.
How the world was tinted with the hues and colors reflecting off the goggles.

Each time I recall this memory, Happiness
surging through my body takes me back to that time;
where since then I've given my life just to swim.
