Found Poem- The Red Umbrella
I waited
Every second was valuable
Another pause
Maybe I could do it again
I stared hard
Nothing
I hesitated
Bring me a dream
Hello, un momento
She smiled
Joy filled my heart
We're fine
Hearing his voice filled me with a sense of calm
Forget the miles between us
Good
I won't see that
We're going home
I wish
Maybe soon...
In this poem that I made from the Red Umbrella, it shows sadness and hope. Sadness because all Lucia and Frankie really want is to go back to Cuba to see there parents. Also, its sad because they are so far apart, and can almost never talk to each other. Hope on the other hand, because though they're far apart, she can talk to her parents on a phone call. But she can rarely do this becuase of the expense.
