Prison
Lucia felt like a prisoner,
Waiting for her release,
As she approached her bed,
Angela hand her a large sugar cookie,
Angela told Lucia to come on time.
The poem that was written above was showing empathy for other even during a hard time. To start Lucia had just been placed at Kendall and was separated from here beloved bother. Also Lucia still doesn't understand how things are run in Kendall and is confused. Angela show empathy for Lucia by bringing her a large sugar cookie. Forth this scene was very important for Lucia.It proved to her that america and it's people might not be so bad after all. This poem also has a lot to teach about empathy, for example without someone being nice to her she might not have ever agreed to going with the Baxter's. Those where just a few of he many way in the poem empathy was showed in my poem
