This poem shows what everyone is doing. Mr.Baxter is surveying the fields with Frankie. Mrs.Baxter is taking on the phone with Gladys. Lucia sat on the lime green sofa and she is reading the newspaper. Then she hears her envelope from Ivette crinkling and she is thinking “should I open it or should I not”.This clearly shows that Lucia and Frankie are average Americans. The Baxters accepted Lucia and Frankie to be with them. This is why I chose this same from the book.
