Christmas
The Baxter house sparkled
Diverse selection of lights
Evergreen garlands draped
Pointy icy icicles
Fresh piney scent of Christmas tree
Gingerbread cookies for Santa
Mrs.Baxter planned a special lunch
Ham, scalloped potatoes, carrot pineapple salad
Including black beans, rice, and yuca
Top it off with music and rhythmic sounds to make you dance
The found poem is about the feeling of Christmas in the Baxter house. This was a descriptive scene from the text that puts the reader into feeling like they were the ones apart of it. Readers feel entertained when the author includes good use of wording to describe the topic. Visualizing a real life scene, the audience reads the text and feels included into the story itself. It starts the audience off with a selection of wording that will kick them into the action. " Fresh piney scent of Christmas tree" is a good one because readers can picture that in their mind. Later in the poem it talks about the Christmas lunch. And then to wrap it up at the end it talks about music and rhythmic sounds.
