PERIOD:3 Charlie M. found poem

Leaping over the mud, friends challenge me to

A magnificent feat trying very hard to leap,

But losing a good grip, the grain spilled in the muck,

And seconds later, to lay in the mud, throwing mud-

Balls towards friends in laughter, a bundle of joy begins

This poem represents childhood, and how it still exists in the united states, and in the time of fear. How competitions are friendly, and creativity still linger in the mists of fear. Skills become talents. And what used to be anxiety, is now excitement. People are now frolicking in the streets, when they used to be forced inside with the fearsome hand of Castro. Laughter can finally be heard and kids are seen often. Kids without families have foster ones, which substitutes just as fine to kids. People no longer have fear, and some forget what it is, because of the United States, the land of the free and brave.
