PD2: Aidan D- Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving was different for me than it was for other people. I spent my Thanksgiving break in Puerto Rico with my family. One of my favorite parts was when we went to the rainforest. We went to El Yunque National Forest. My mom has a friend from grad school that lives in Puerto Rico that we visited. She told us that if it had rained the day before, or was raining when we went to the rainforest, that it wasn’t safe and could cause mudslides. When we were about half-way through the trail to the waterfall, it started raining. We kept hiking, but it started to rain harder. Eventually, it was flat out pouring , so we decided to head back. Also, we headed back because we saw that the soil around the trail was starting to thin out, just as we were told. Overall, I enjoyed my Thanksgiving break a lot and will remember it for a long time.
