Pd 3: Violet V Thanksgiving

On Thanksgiving day, I was currently in California. My mom's side of the family was there, including my cousins, and Sofia, one of my cousins daughters. My two cousins, Sam and Hanh, along with Sofia, were sitting at the same table as me. As we waited, Hanh, who is 10, explained the meaning of Thanksgiving to Sofia, who is 4. This I thought was so funny as I watched Hanh explain the history on Thanksgiving and why it is important. I interrupted her on several occasions to explain that because she is four she's probably not going to understand it, but Hanh would just say" Violet, who is her Aunt?". Eventually Sofia got so confused that she said she didn't want to learn about Thanksgiving. My cousin, Hanh, said "Just ignore her. If she doesn't want to learn about Thanksgiving then she doesn't have to but, that means she doesn't want to be here". This memory really stuck out from Thanksgiving break because I remember thinking, "What in the world!?" and protesting that Sofia is only four.
