Pd2: Claire J. Thanksgiving

On the bus on Tuesday, I was thrilled to get almost a whole week off. I was sitting next  to my sister Molly on the bus, and then the striking news came. She felt sick. Of coarse being who I  am, I thought Molly was just kidding. But, when we got home,  she checked her temperature. Her temperature was 99.4. Good grief. Molly had a fever, and she was going to be sick all break, and then she'll get me sick. Two days later, it was Thanksgiving, and luckily my sister had gotten a little better. At 6:00 a.m., we had to get up and get ready for the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Parade. After we took the subway and trolley, we finally got settled and watched the parade. To be honest, it was not the best considering that my family and I had no idea who a lot of people were. There was mostly finalists and winners of America's Got Talent, American Idol, and t.v. shows like that. I don't watch any of those t.v. shows myself. The only people I know was Elsa and Anna, Carli Lloyd, Mickey and Minnie, and all the Disney princesses. That was it. It was still very fun, as usual. Then, my family and I had to go home and get ready for Thanksgiving. We go to my cousin's house every year. It really isn't anything new that we had, so it was the same Thanksgiving as every year, which I very do much like. Once we got into the dining room, there were gifts, wrapped up nicely in gold on our plates and name tags. What was in the box? Well, it was a sweatshirt from Nantucket, which is my favorite vacation spot. The food was very delicious, as always. But, spending time with my family was the best part! Faces smiling, mouth chewing, we sit at the table being thankful.
